Why BRI?
Bullet Related Injury (BRI) is defined as the physical, emotional, social and spiritual impact a bullet has on a person whether they or someone they love is harmed by a bullet. This includes physical wounds, threat of a bullet, and loss of a loved one.
There are many forms of BRI. Some wounds are seen, some are unseen. Regardless of how BRI happens, the experience includes a disruption in Eating, Sleeping, Moving and Thinking.
When we understand that to experience BRI is to “HAVE TRAUMA”, we can begin to know “How 2 Heal”. This approach is important for anyone who has been impacted, directly through their own experiences, or indirectly through the experiences of someone they know or love, or even witnessing at a distance through media.
